Video Games and Cheat codes

Gee, I don't know, it's been a long time since i wrote. I just had to because i noticed that there hasn't been a game worth getting a cheat code for, for a little over ten years. I was just wondering about the replay value of games no matter how good they are not hitting it for me like the original, Contra. Using the cheat code for that, i must have beaten it at least eight times. I know it's a stereotypical outlook, but I needed to say it. Maybe it's just that there's something wrong with me that I had a much better time playing Duck Tales for NES then playing God of War, the recently new ten out of ten. I know the games now are more in depth and more interesting leaving you waiting for the next system, but when it comes to getting excited over a game, it stopped at Genesis. Usually when I play i don't want to cheat, but when i do, it's usually because I just won't admit it sucks. Take the newrer title for instance, the low rated, Predator Concrete Jungle. I rate it best of the year, unless i lose all my progress which I did and if you get it, I'll save you your pride. Shoot all the snipers and figure the rest out. The magazine I read gives it a 2.5 and a worst ten of the year. what?! I give it the only 10 of the decade. It's full control of the Predator for goodness sakes. I guess being honest with yourself is the key to judging a game nowadays. For example Final Fantasy 7 and part 8, have to be the only Turn based RPGs worth completing. I mean my opinion, is once you read one cheat guide, it's the only one you needed to. You only cheat yourself anyway. There's probably some gremlin that causes you to get one after you've beaten it anyway. Over it one would probably doubt himself also. So, anyway it's been fun writing and I hope somebody reads this. Thanks if you do.

I wish there was more actual content here. It looks to me almost like you were compelled to write this like some kind of high-school assignment. Maybe you could offer some actual cheat codes to something, or explain why cheat codes are needed or wanted.

hello,

I just want to say that this was one of the best things I have ever read. You hit it right on the proverbial head! I feel the gremlin comment man...I do. Duck-tales was one of the BEST games ever created. Lucifer is watching you.
